Haul - makeup and skincare

Happy Easter all :) hope you’ve got today off work and have a little sunshine in your area… It’s been rather lovely here so I spent a while reading my book in the park while Zoe and Bernard chased each other around fighting over a tennis ball. Can’t think of a better way to spend the day!

Thanks to the good weather I slapped on plenty of sun cream (is it just me or is sun cream one of the most scrummy smelling products of all time? Always reminds me of playing at the beach when I was a kid) And I got to thinking about some of the new goodies I’ve picked up over the last couple of weeks… Which meant a haul post was pretty inevitable :)

I can't tell you how excited I am to try this foundation! I adore the Revlon Colorstay and Photoready foundations so when I saw this active version of Colorstay I definitely had to have it! Urban Decay Matte eyeshadow in ElectricFamous palette in Jealousy by Sue Moxley

Almay goodies

For someone who is a teensy bit obsessed with makeup it’s probably hard to believe that I didn’t actually wear any until I was about 18 (even then it was only a quick dusting of powder!) I played around with it in my bedroom but was too much of a tomboy to wear it on a daily basis :)

That was until I discovered liquid foundation – possibly the greatest thing since sliced bread I reckon – and saw the difference it made to my complexion… I was hooked pretty much straight away. One of the first bottles I remember buying was by Almay as it was one of the only brands that sold shades light enough to match my skin!

I’ve kinda drifted away from the whole Almay range since then but figured I’d order myself some goodies online recently. When they arrived I was reminded why I absolutely loved this brand for so long!

So far I love all the products except for the foundation; though to be fair I’ve only worn it twice so will give it time to make a good impression before I review it ♥

Little drugstore haul

Evening all! Hope you’re having a fantastic weekend, I’m soooo glad it’s Saturday. Haven’t really been up to much myself though I seem to have moved into the cinema – saw Rango (wasn’t bad) The Rite (totally rubbish) and Unknown (really good) and did a little shopping so it’s been a fairly nice relaxing weekend. My favourite kind :)

Aaanyway... There are a few drugstore brands that I used to swear by as a teenager but haven’t been using as much recently so I picked up a few goodies from each range. Oh and I’ve been on the lookout for a great concealer so grabbed a couple whilst I was in Boots. I’ve tried quite a few different ones recently but haven’t been overly impressed by any :(

Neutrogena Popped Spot Solution. This just seemed like the best idea ever so I had to pick it up! I'm absolutely terrible for picking at spots even though I know I should just leave them be... Hopefully this will save the day next time I do ♥
