rain check

I totally wanted to wear this dress I just bought with basically nothing else, but it was raining in complete contradiction with the weather the week before, so I had to take a style raincheck. (Weather-based deferment! I love etymology. Good thing I'm taking a historical linguistics class this fall.) This isn't very flattering.
