The above women's automatic watch, which could totally be part of your Wearing The Family Wealth On My Wrists Look a la JAK & JIL's "Goldmember" post, yes?
Orient Watch also sells street urchin/grandpa-status pocket watches (!) and men's watches (like the ORIENT CEM75002D model, which looks extra manly and robust, but which I would totally wear because men's watches are more exciting anyway), either of which I desperately need right now, as my children's Batman watch with glow-in-the-dark hands from Target stopped during yesterday's lunch.
My lamentations aside, here's how you can win. Leave a comment on this post at or before 11:59 PM (PST) of October 15, 2009 in which you
1) Answer the question, "What time is it?"
2) Post a quote, poem, lyric, or literary reference (or something else fun) about time.
The winner will be chosen by me soon after the 15th of October, based on the cleverness and/or hilarity and/or tragedy of the comments, with the results posted on the front page of this blog. The winner will be contacted shortly after.
And to close, from Robert Herrick's "To The Virgins, To Make Much Of Time," which is hitting rather too close to home:
Gather ye rose-buds while ye may:[EDIT: Winner posted here.]
Old Time is still a-flying;
And this same flower that smiles to-day,
To-morrow will be dying.
