The City That Never Sleeps...

...has got Fazed-Girl all tired.

I am so glad to be back in this foggy, windy, West Coast goodness.

I am so glad to have been wearing this to go to rehearsal:

Above, t-shirt/sweater: mother's. Brown printed thermal longsleeve: Kohl's. Hot pink crocheted beanie thing: some hat shop in Manhattan. Skirt: Nordstrom Rack. Tights: Forever21. Oxfords: Payless.

Not the most flattering outfit, really, but oh! How wonderful the non-air-conditioning-induced cold is!

I am so glad to have been able to wear that today rather than this, which I wore to shop in SoHo:

Above, pink tank top: Old Navy. Skirt: Nordstrom Rack. Socks: 98-cent store. Oxfords: Payless. Bag: borrowed from Distant Auntish Relative. That room I'm posing in is where I slept at my Distant Auntish Relative's house in Queens.

For some reason, I got dirty looks (? Interested? Curious? Cataract'ed? I'm not a very good judge) the whole day. Perhaps because I was so pink. Or so pale. Or so blatantly un-New-York. So my mom and I went to Uniqlo (OMG! I've never seen one!) and I bought teal-ish jeans and two cardigans. We bought stuff for my aunt and brother too, and it ended up being so heavy we mailed it to ourselves. It should be arriving in a few days...

Here's the bag I was carrying:

Shiny.

Another thing I wore in New York City, on the day I watched Chicago at the Ambassador Theatre:

Above, bracelet: DIY. Semi-pashmina (70% pashmina, 30% silk): street fair thing near Times Square. Dress: mother's. Socks: 98-cent store.

Above, the bracelet that I made way before that Marc Jacobs show but never wore because I was afraid of ridicule. I got dirty (?) looks the whole day for this outfit too. Well, I didn't wear the pashmina for very long. (Which basically means this is a non-outfit that consists of dress + visible bra straps + socks + shoes.) Anyway, I went in to Chicago blind. I had no idea what it was about. It was... very entertaining. Quite clever at times. I don't know... I'm not a critic or anything, but it seemed like the actors were too set on entertaining rather than on their characters? I'm not sure. Then again, I think I may have been watching understudies that night (I would check but I can't find my Playbill in my luggage). In any case, I like extremely fit, semi-naked dancing men, so it's okay. Oh, and musicals. I like musicals too. Yeah. Like Chicago.

Failboat is fail.

[This is a scheduled filler post.]

Above, this was across the street from some Italian restaurant near the hotel.

Above, more St. Francis.

Above, this hotel makes me laugh.

Above, really hard. With this flipped picture of an upside-down cup.

Above, this hotel makes me smile.

Above, really hard. With their telephone in the lobby.

Above, Fazed-Girl smiles hard again. It's a flower!

Above, Fazed-Girl looks up and out the window... way up.

I like how all these photos are neutral-toned.

Is it just me or are men in Manhattan better-dressed and more attractive...?

One more thing!

Actually, I lie. I'm not Uncle from Jackie Chan Adventures. I have two more things before I sleep.

1) I finished Quentin's section! Take that, Faulkner!
2) My pair of boyshorts from delia's are literally coming undone. The very edge of the elastic is starting to fray. Note to self: Do not buy boyshort panties from delia's.

As a reward for finishing Quentin's section, I would like to buy myself these shoes:

Above, Moschino MA1011AC10LC1 (WTH that's a shoe name?), $695 at Zappos

I know, I know. You can hate me now because they are spectators, are pointy-toed high heels, and have tassels. But I love them anyway.

But realistically and practically speaking, I should reward myself with more underwear:

Above, Edeva Plaid Panty, $3.80 at Forever21. I cannot resist plaid. Plaid reminds me of playing the French maid Lisette in On the Razzle at school. Speaking of French...

Above, French String Thong, $2.80 at Forever21. (I guess thong = less material = less expensive.) Because in my mind, thong = sexy = French.

Am I finishing this post instead of sleeping? Maybe.

It is 12:55 AM here. I am SO TIRED.

I have this image saved on my computer because I want to do a Batman stenciled shirt:

(Sorry to whoever's image this is! I don't have your link. It is from craftster.)

BUT OMG. WHEN I CLICKED FOR AN IMAGE PREVIEW I GOT THIS:

AND THEN... I thought something was wrong because all the reds turned green, right? So I closed it and opened it again and saw THIS!!!

OMG IT'S A SIGN HOW SCARY IS THIS SHIT?!

Fazed-Girl Takes New York!

Above, me eating a waffle at the ungodly hour of 4:30. Jacket: no idea. Scarf: Cal merchandise. Tights: DKNY.

Above, ungodly hour to have woken up, dressed, and eaten.

Above, sans one layer. Cardigan: mother's. Skirt: vintage.

Above, sans one more layer. T-shirt: Napoleon in War Paint, Threadless.

Above, my damn mirror broke in the taxi on the way to the hotel.

Above, what I walked off the airplane wearing because I was warned that it was ridiculously hot. It's not. It's just kind of hot. On the plane, there was an Asian guy sitting two seats from me. This is not remarkable except that when I was entering the aisle, he was squatting on the seat eating from a takeout box, like this:

And then I decided that it wasn't so hot and changed into this:

Above, skirt: Nordstrom Rack.

I bought three hats. One is for my brother. It is an aviator hat thing. Two are berets. That is all. It is 11:30ish in New York City right now. I am in Manhattan. I am le tired.

And more like this cute Russian dude...

I'm keeping my fingers crossed

I hope my mother and I can catch a flight to New York tomorrow morning (by that, I mean four hours from now). In any case, I will be incapacitated either on a flight or at the airport. Have some scheduled filler posts!
