Milan Fashion Week, Part the Third

All photos from

Above, this is from Bottega Veneta because that shot of mint/seafoam green in belt form looks so fresh against white, especially with that little band of raspberry to set it off.

Above, from Bottega Veneta because no matter how much I try to deny it, I am still a girl, and this dress is flat-out glamorousprettymagical.

Above, also from Bottega Veneta. Also glamorousprettymagical.

Above, from Dolce & Gabanna, just because I like the white lace blouse with its high collar and funny cuffed t-shirt sleeves.

Above, from Luisa Beccaria because this is so pretty for spring and so Iphigenia, you know? (Actually, after watching that clip, I really want to DIY some sort of gold chain vest to wear over a white dress so I can be even more like Iphigenia.)

Above, from Luisa Beccaria, cream dress over white lacy blouse with high neckline and puff sleeves. It's like innocence incarnate. (Or maybe the dress is attached to the collar and sleeves. Who knows.)

Above, also from Luisa Beccaria because this floral is so, so pretty.

Above, from Moschino Cheap & Chic because OMG laser-cut acrylic necklace! I want one with my name on it like Gala Darling's nameplate necklace, but in black like this one.

Above, also from Moschino Cheap & Chic. Shoes. Oh, have mercy, the shoes. Little lace-up oxfords with patent black toe caps and either ribbon or canvas laces. Also, the shoulder ties on the dress look exactly the right amount of careless to be carefree.

Above, also from Moschino Cheap & Chic because it looks interesting, not because I'm sure I would wear it. The entire collar of the shirt is like an exploding chrysanthemum and it reminds me of Queen Michelle's shirt/skirt sewing DIY with shower loofahs.

Singapore Makan-makan!

It's been a long time since i have last blogged. Because my laptop was dead after i accidentally kick it down to the floor, and it went blacked out. Now am havin my new pc, so hopefully i wil be able to update where i eat and where i shop, and places i go. :)

Aronud june, I visited Singapore. Found some good food places, i was suprised that there are plenty of delicious food around in Singapore. The food standard in their food court in shopping malls are deliciously cooked. Unlike Malaysia's shopping mall food court, sometimes you just cant trust them.

This was taken at a shopping mall, which i cant recall which. This braised duck rice is so far the best i have tasted.

My frend ordered a tempura bento. Mine's better. :)

Upon recommendation, we have our lunch at Ishi Mura Japanese food court in Pomo Centre @ Selegie road. First time dine in a japanese food court, interests me. There are different kinda of stalls selling different kind of japanese food, from ramen to okonomiyaki to rice burgers. The price of the food here is reasonably affordable, around $10 or below.

I have ordered this
Beef Patty Omu rice - thumbs up for tis!!
( omelette rice with beef burger on top, with black pepper sauce)

My frend order this delicious Italian style cookin of ramen.

I would highly recommend this Ishi Mura to those looking for affordable and yummy eating out place in Singapore. They have several branches around there.

Next day, we went to Maxwell food court near Red Dot Design Museum, Maxwell road.
We saw this Tian Tian Hainanese chicken rice stall has a long que, so we thought this must be a famous stall. So my frend que for the chicken rice. Guess what? My fren qued for an hr!!! The effort does pays off, he ordered 2 plates of chicken rice instead, so to make the que worth while. LOL!

The chicken rice is superbly good, the chicken is tender and smooth. The rice are well cooked and aromatic.

Me, what was i doing when my frend que at the chicken rice stall? I que at Zhen Zhen porridge stall. See the que!!! It takes me almost an hr to get my porridge. I almost give up, but i didnt.

I ordered a fish porridge with a plate of Yu sang (sashimi/raw fish). See, it looks like some kinda kerabu rite? With lots of beansprouts and sesame seeds, add w lime juice. Actually is quite good, just that we r not so used to tasting raw fish with porridge. Something different. :)

A must visit place, the Muji shop!! Love their stuff, one of things i bought - Pork Calpas! I think i could eat tis snack anytime!!

painfully pretty

More Derek Lam, because the eye makeup was wowowow (that's "wow" with two "ow"s on the end because it's so good it hurts).

Also, Tao Okamoto at Bottega Veneta. Because it is Tao Okamoto. And the lips.

I could so do this if I got a bowl cut, wore foundation, and lost all my cheek fat.

Finally, from Rodarte. It is a bad sign that after seeing this photo and going to Walgreen's to discover all the Halloween makeup out already, I am contemplating the red inner/black outer lipstick, right?

At least I haven't pulled out the Sharpies yet.

been jammin'

I wore this to class last week... and consequently fell in love with the very blond boy named Benjamin in my acting class because he eyed me and said in his very soft-spoken way, "That's very pink" and then offered to bring me a chair. I. Am. Too. Mentally easy.

Above, dress: made by my grandmother. Belt: some sort of canvas ribbon from packaging. Socks: Nordstrom. Shoes: Payless.

layout change

because this is a little more obnoxious than I want it to be.

This is going to get messy, folks.

[EDIT: This is definitely going to take longer than anticipated.]

[EDIT: Done. Drop me a line if it's misaligned, too hard to read, too ugly, et cetera.]

Milan Fashion Week, Part the Second

Photos from

Above, from Albino. Seriously, this is so Organic with the slouchy thigh/knee-high nylons. Except it's more fun than sexy-childish (which are two adjectives that should not be conjoined... ever).

Above, also from Albino. I might be tights-shredding sometime. If I ever find any pairs I don't care about much.

Above, from Trussardi 1911 because of the leggings. YES!

Above, from Aquilino.Rimondi. For some reason this reminds me of wearing a lionfish (which would be really dangerous). Or, you know, giant clams, fungus, undersea creatures, the usual.

Above, also from Aquilino.Rimondi because the sleeves are too pretty and I'd so much rather see young women walking around in sheer sleeves than in baggy sweatshirts or too-tight strapless tops.

Above, from Emilio Pucci. Not much to say except the white, black, and metallic makes really pretty fabric. It reminds me of foiled tissue paper (for wrapping, not paper that was going to be a tissue but had its plans ruined).

Above, from Emporio Armani. It's weird because I don't like this, but when I look at it more, I do, but if I look at it again, I stop liking it. Maybe it's the pink. Maybe it's the strange diversion of the strap into 3 channels. Maybe it's that mystery shiny thing on the model's right thigh. The world may never know.

Above, from Maurizio Pecoraro. Sheer neckline, dress with sleeves, dress with pockets, SHINY, all my favorite things rolled into one. Now if this were a drop-waist instead of a sack dress, I probably would have verbalized my delight and freaked out my apartmentmate.

Above, from Gabriele Colangelo. I know white dresses for spring (well, for summer) are kind of cliche, but there's something really appealing about a startlingly plain dress with REALLY FANTASTIC SLEEVES.

Milan Fashion Week, Part the First

Also known as Jil Sander was (very surprisingly) totally badass, although the badassery is mostly in the details. For example! This dress:

It matches these shoes:

And this shiny fly:

Which is why it makes you invincible when you wear it. Actually, the shoes pretty much blew my mind. Burnished metal platform, rope-y ankle straps, and heels that look like massive paperclips. It's all so wrong, and yet.

Here's another positively pornographic fabric shot with one of the weirdly appealing belts:

(Weirdly appealing... like Taylor Lautner.)

And finally, the jewelry must be mentally gay (thanks, Bo Burnham) because it just blew my mind.

via F--- Yeah San Francisco

One of these days, I should amass my own collection of photos that make me go fuck, yeah, this is my San Francisco.

In other news, taking a midterm today. Brain overflowing with useless demographic statistics about the Middle East.
