Paraphernalia

Both StyleBubble and StyleBytes have done posts on Etsy seller Paraphernalia, so of course I checked it out, but lo and behold! Seller TillyBloom, also on Etsy, has similar wares. My picks from both stores are below.

I was surprised, because as much as I like most of the Paraphernalia designs and how detailed they are, I think the graphics at TillyBloom have more of an old school feel.

I also found an Etsy seller selling these refashioned vintage stockings that looked very, very Prada (see below) but then I lost the link. I hope I find it again, or else I mightresort to stitching stockings together, because those American Apparel ones are way too expensive.

That skirt

Here's the ridiculous skirt from my header, as an integral part of the outfit I wore to my UCLA interview:

I remember walking in and being the only person there not dressed from head to toe in black or navy. I also remember that my sticker said 5 and that I sat next to 17, who was very, very cute. A junior transfer applicant for acting. I hope he got in. He was so nervous and fidgety (and cute).

UCSD is supposed to come out today (Saturday), but I can't figure out where I check. Oh well. Twelve days to Cal/LA.

The King's a thing with a ring on a string. I mean, the ring's the thing wherein I'll catch the conscience of the King. I mean, above rings: both from Claire's. (Haha. You can see the reflection of my feet in the background.)

Above, pseudo-hipster headband: Clinique freebie. I cut my hair. And changed my part. It feels peculiar.

My brother's coming home today!

And I went to Payless with Connie last week and tried on wedges for the first time. No wonder girls in wedges aren't wincing in pain! No wonder they don't have blistery feet! No wonder they don't have to re-learn how to walk!

One blazer, two ways

Here are two outfits created around this yellow suit jacket. It came as part of a skirt-suit from the 90s, and yes, it has shoulder pads. It was my aunt's, but my mom thought I might want it so she ran it by me before trying to give it away.
